Good morning people of God, its that time again when we say Hallelujah to God Almighty for the gift of life, the miracle of sleeping and waking up, His mercies and goodness upon our lives. Its a beautiful day, the day of the Lord and we must rejoice and be glad in it.
In my excitement, i bring your way again this morning a powerful revelation from the word of God and our Bible reading today is from Numbers 14:1-end, our memory verse is from Numbers 14:28 "Say to them, 'As i live, says the Lord, what you have said in my hearing I will do to you." What do you say to the hearing of God?
Our today's reading is the continuation of yesterday's story, it is centered on the consequences of the evil report the spies gave to Moses and the children of Israel. Moses sent the leaders of the twelve tribes of Israel to go out and spy the promised land, they went and came back saying that the land is good but the people that dwell in the land are mighty and will crush them because they (children of Israel) are like ants before the inhabitants of the promised land. There are two men among the spies that said the opposite and they are; Joshua and Caleb. Upon hearing this evil report the children of Israel started murmuring saying that it would be better for them to go back and die in the land of Egypt, they suggested to elect a captain who will lead them back to the land of Egypt. On hearing this God's anger was kindled, God said to Moses that He is tired of the murmuring of this people, that even after all that He has done for them to know that He is God, that He has called them out to be their God and them His people, they still do not have faith in Him. God went as far as telling Moses that He will smote them and raise a people through Moses, but Moses pleaded with God making a case for the children of Israel saying the the Egyptians will say the because God was not able to get them into the promised land He had to kill them in the wilderness. God heard Moses and instead smote all of them that murmured against Him and preserved the lives of their children and also the lives of Caleb and Joshua.
Our memory verse today is worthy of note as it explicitly declares that what the people said to the hearing of God is what God will do to them. They said its better for them to die and God granted them their wish. Caleb said let us go up at once and occupy the land and Caleb got into the promised land and occupied it. In life, we have big dreams, sometimes we feel and come close to bringing our dreams to reality but there are always a big obstacle on our way to achieving our set goals, when we get to this point, what is our confession? Do you confess positive or negative?
Here are points to note regarding our confession;
What are you saying concerning that difficult situation? My beloved, be careful what you confess for your confession is always your situation.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed as you confess God's goodness to that difficult situation.

Here are points to note regarding our confession;
- Words have life and are powerful
- what you confess is what you possess
- Your confession is a reflection of your faith
- Your confession is a demonstration of how big your God is
