STOOPING TO CONQUER

Good morning people of God, it's a beautiful day and the day of the Lord, we must rejoice and be glad in it. Whatever may be challenging your peace is not enough to stop your joy, so rejoice it's a great day.
The message today is a powerful one and our reading is from Numbers 21:1-end and our memory verse is from Numbers 21:24 "And Israel slew him with the edge of the sword, and took possession of his land from Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as to the Ammonites; for Jazer was the boundary of the Ammonites." In today's reading the children of Israel had started moving from the wilderness of Zin, they were attacked by the King of Arad, God gave them victory even though the king of Arad initially captured them, they cried unto God and He harkened to their voice and gave them victory. They continued their journey, as usual they murmured against God and Moses, God sent serpent in their midst and they realized their mistake, came to Moses and confessed and the Lord gave Moses the antidote to the serpent bite. They continued on their journey and got to the region of Moab, there they sent messengers to the king of the Amorites asking for permission to pass through their land. The king refused and instead came to fight them.
We are used to the adage that says "the gentility of a lion doesn't mean cowardice", a lot of times people misunderstand the pursuit of peace to mean cowardice but fail to understand that the pursuit of peace is for a win win end and peace of mind. Today the story of the Israelites showed that God is an impartial God, He expects us at all times to do the needful. In the case of the Israelites they pursued peace by asking for permission but when the king refused and instead fought them God gave them victory and they possessed the land.
Are you having a stubborn enemy who prefers war instead of peace as long as you have tried to broker peace and the enemy is fighting, hold on to God for He will give you total Victory in Jesus name Amen.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.
