POWER TO OVERCOME TRIALS

Trial is a test of one's faith. trial can be a painful experience. Temptation may not be too painful but trial is usually painful. Trial cuts across all gender.
IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT TRIAL
  1. Sometimes you don't hear from God during trial because a good teacher does not speak during test.
  2. God does not stop every trial that come your way but He will give you power to overcome the trial.
  3. Never let trial to bring you down instead let it promote you.
  4. God places obstacles along your journey to prepare you for a wonderful end.
  5. Be proud of every trial that comes your way because the emotional scars are medals, they stand as a testimony.
  6. Whenever trials come your way, you have three choices;1) you let the trial define you, 2)you let the trial destroy you. 3) you let the trial strengthen your faith in God.
  7. Your greatest trial today shall be your greatest testimony.
  8. By trial God is shaping you for higher things.
  9. The only way God can show us He is in control is to put us in situations that we cannot control.
  10. Even the people that betray us is in God's plan because without Judas Jesus will not go to the cross.
  11. God will not permit any trial to come your way unless there is a great blessing that is coming from that trial.

  22. Your current situation is not your permanent address.
  23. Diamond cannot be polished without friction.

  2. Refuse to murmur during trial.
  3. Draw closer to God, read the bible more, pray more.
  4. Increase your faith in God.
  5. Repent from any sin and refuse to backslide.

RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

In today's world, one who talks face to face with the president of a country is seen as powerful, wealthy, influential and to an extent a small God. If you cross the path of such a person, the onus is on you to seek pardon else you will be ruthlessly dealt with. Such a person gets whatsoever he wants. In any case he does not get what he wants the tendency to work or speak against the president may arise. This is always the nature of relationship with man, unfortunately man seems to relate same way with God and that has been the challenge of an average child of God.
Good morning friends and welcome to a new day, the second day in the month of April. I pray we continue to rejoice and be glad in this day. Our reading today is from Deuteronomy 34:1-end. Our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 34:4 "And the Lord said to him, 'this is the land I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, I will give it to your descendants.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there."
Our memory verse is the last conversation Moses had with the Lord before he died and in this conversation we see clearly that the Lord maintained His position regarding Moses going in to the promised land. This God's position was as a result of Moses flaunting the instruction of God when He told him to speak to the rock for water to come forth instead Moses hit the rock with his staff. God made this pronouncement and maintained it but that did not change anything in His relationship with Moses. On the other hand Moses did not stop serving God neither did he stop obeying God's commandments. Moses was faithful in carrying out his primary role as a prophet of God and as the leader of the children of Israel. He ensured that he gave them all the instructions that God has commanded them to do as they go to possess the promised land. He equally wrote the commandments and commanded them to do and obey. He equally gave the children of Israel the blessings of God according to their tribe. At no point did he renege in doing as the Lord commanded him to do.
This is what a relationship with God is all about; God relates with us as a father and also as a friend, He gets strict with us and punishes us when we go astray and err, He also continues to love us till the end. That God loves us is not a passport for us to misbehave and that He punishes us when we err does not mean He has stopped loving us. They are all part and parcel of the relationship.
I don't know the status of your relationship with God, have you stopped loving God because he allowed some mishap to come your way? Have you searched yourself to be sure you are not the reason for the mishap? Did you just stop loving and obeying God's commandments because He did not answer your prayers?
I have news for you, when the Lord said His thoughts for you is of good and not of evil, He meant it with every fiber in Him. When He said fear not for I will be with you and I will lift you up with my victorious right hand, He was not joking. That He didn't answer your prayers does not mean His words are untrue. All He demands from us is trust. In trusting God, we appreciate His punishment and love Him more, because it is only the one who loves you that will call you to order.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

VICTORY IN THE CHURCH

Good evening friends and happy new month. I pray that God's blessings will locate you wherever you are in this month of April.
Due to power challenge I was unable to post the sermon for yesterday, I am able to post it now and may the knowledge of this word bear much fruit in your life in Jesus name Amen.
Victory means having power or control over things that trouble us. Obadiah 1:17, it is when we have victory over a certain prevailing circumstance that we can say we have won the battle. In the house of God there is room for deliverance, for possessing one's possession and for holiness. People go to the house of God to worship God because of their problems. For all of this the house of God is meant for victory.
SOME IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT VICTORY IN THE CHURCH
  • Everybody coming into the church have their unique problems.
  • There are spirits responsible for individual problems in individual life and the spirit is the source of the problem.
  • The spirit controlling somebody can influence the life of another person if not careful. Mark 5:7-8
  • In the house of God there is evil and good.
  • God expects us to live in love with one another.
  • The power that supply victory in the church is a power that cannot be defeated.
  • As much as God is concerned, no person that enters into the church, the power of God is available for you. Psalm 91:1, Matthew 25:31-33
  • There is going to be a separation between those that live a holy life and those that don't live a holy life.
  • There is no age limit regarding who will have victory .
  • Faith in the word of God is ultimate, believe the word of the man of God.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

THINGS THAT ATTRACT CURSE

A very happy Sunday to you people of God. I trust you are all doing well in this day the Lord has made.
I come from a society that believes that for any bad thing that happens, it is as a result of witchcraft attack. A society that has been profoundly blind to the natural principle of cause and effect. The word of God today in Deuteronomy 27:15-26 itemized the things that attract curse and I will be sharing this information with you in today's post.
We must acknowledge one thing I have always said in my posts, our God is a God of process. He is a very organized and careful God, that is why it's important for a child of God to always read the word of God and live it. For in the word of God is all the instructions on living in this wicked world and being fulfilled. Outside the word of God is a life of confusion and misery.
The Lord through Moses commanded the children of Israel not to do the following in order not to be cursed;

  1. To make a graven or molten in place of God attracts curse. This means to have another God besides the Almighty God. A lot of us have made material things our god and still expects God's blessings .
  2. One who dishonours his parents attracts curse to himself. Our parents may be the best or the worst kind of human beings it doesn't matter because God has commanded that we honor them so we must. In honoring our parents whom we can see we learn to honor God whom we cannot see.
  3. One who removes his neighbor's landmark attracts curse. In general one who cheats is a candidate for curse. Be contented with what you have.
  4. One who misleads a blind man on the road attracts curse. A blind man here is not necessarily one who is physically blind but also one who is spiritually blind. We see men who claim to be men of God misleading their followers who are spiritually blind just to extort money and material things from them. Be warned for you are attracting curse to yourself.
  5. One who perverts the justice due to the sojourner, the fatherless and the widow attracts curse. We are all sojourners in this life and God has been faithful to us so it is demanded of every child of God to treat the sojourner in your place with kindness, fairness and justice. This also applies to the fatherless and the widow, they are without support and treating them unkindly is inhuman, God abhors it.
  6. One who lies with his father's wife attracts curse. For someone to lie with his father's wife is the height of disrespect and an abomination, God abhors it.
  7. One who lies with any kind of beast. We live in a world where men are driven by different fantasies, some lie with animals, some lie with same sex while some claim they do it for money. The word of God says it is ungodly and attracts curse.
  8. One who lies with his sister, be it the father's daughter or the mother's daughter attracts curse. This has to do with the fear of God and discipline. No matter how beautiful and sweet your sister is God doesn't permit you to lie with her, be warned.
  9. One who lies with his mother-in-law attracts curse. The immorality of the end time is so bad that there are cases where a man lies with mother and daughter and yet sees it as normal. God says it attracts curse, be warned.
  10. One who slays his neighbor in secret attracts curse. To slay your neighbor in secret does not only mean to kill, it also mean to destroy your neighbor's reputation. A lot of times we go in secret and destroy the image of our neighbor and pretend we don't know the weight of what we did. Sometimes that action costs our neighbor the opportunity of a lifetime. This attitude attracts curse, desist from it.
  11. One who takes bribe to slay the innocent attracts curse. No matter how desperate you are in need of money, taking a bribe to slay the innocent is not an option. Be warned.
  12. One who does not obey the commandments of God attracts curse.
The next time you want to blame anyone for your misfortune, look inside of you to be sure you are not the one causing your own problem because of your negligence of the commandments of God.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

THE GLEANER

Good morning friends, it's so good to reconnect with you my dear friends.
As a little girl my mum will always warn me to be careful not to end up a dropout eating leftovers from the table of my mates. That always caught my attention and made me strive to be the best I can be.
Our topic today deals with what I call the gleaners and it will interest you to know that God acknowledges two sets of people as far as harvest is concerned; the reapers and the gleaners. The interesting part is that we have the privilege to choose which we become.
Our Bible reading is from Deuteronomy 24:1-end and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 24:21 "when you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterwards; it shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless and the widow."
To glean means to gather stalks or ears of grain left by reapers.  It simply means to gather leftovers. Our memory verse clearly states God's instruction to the children of Israel regarding what happens to the leftovers on their field. The children of Israel are people chosen by God to be His people in accordance to the covenant He had with their fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Being God's chosen people they are landowners, God single-handedly brought them out of the the Land of Egypt where they sojourned for 430 years and brought them into the promised land, a land that flows with milk and honey. While settling them in the promised land God specifically commanded them to allow their leftovers to be gleaned by the following people;
1. The Sojourner; the sojourner is one with no control over things because he is not in his territory. So the sojourner is constantly dependent on the help he can get from the natives of the land where he finds himself. The Lord will always remind the Israelites that they be kind to sojourners for they were once like them in the land of Egypt.
2. The Fatherless; the fatherless are those who have no parental cover and support. The father represents a cover, a support and when the father is absent in someone's life the person looses balance and feels unprotected.
3. The Widow; the widow is someone who has incurred a loss. The loss of a husband to a woman is the loss of everything one can think of. It is the loss of support, the loss of companion, the loss of strength, the loss of income etc.
The categories of the people mentioned are the gleaners and I ask you my readers; are you a reaper or a gleaner? If you are a gleaner which category of gleaner are you? It will interest you to know that if you have made the Lord your father, the author and finisher of your faith, then you should not be a gleaner but a reaper.
I hope to deal with the Reaper topic some other time.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS

Growing up, as a child when my mum is not at home, we play and sometimes we forget to do our domestic chores. At hearing the sound of her vehicle at the gate we begin to run helter-skelter trying to do our chores and ensure that the whole place is clean because woe betide you she comes in and finds the place in a mess. The remaining part of that day will be miserable for you.
My experience as a kid is likened to the relationship we often have with God regarding cleanliness. We get busy in life and do as we please not minding what the word of God says but once we encounter problem we try to live a holy life just to have access to God for deliverance or restoration. That is the only time we remember the word of God and what it implores us to do. May the Lord help us in Jesus Name, Amen.
Today's Bible reading is from Deuteronomy 23:1-end and our memory verse is from Deut. 23:14 "Because the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to save you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, that He may not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you." The memory verse is interesting in that it clearly indicates that God is always in the midst of His people fighting seen and unseen battles and as such we are mandated to always be holy so as to let God dwell with us because at the sight of indecency God departs. The word of God also warned that God cannot behold iniquity meaning that God abhors it and cannot set His eyes on it let alone come in contact with it.
The message today looks to identify what it takes to be clean and attain godliness. The moment we hear cleanliness we think it means wearing a clean cloth, driving a clean car, living in a clean house etc. All of that counts but the cleanliness that is most important is the cleanliness on the inside of you. Through the guiding of the Holy Spirit am lead to make some wonderful discovery in the Bible reading of today regarding the possible dirts that can be found inside of a man and i will take them one after the other.
  1. DYSFUNCTIONAL IDENTITY: In verse one of Deut.23, it says that if a man's testicles are crushed or his penis is cut off, he should not be admitted into the assembly of the Lord. The testicle of a man is the functional identity of the man, it is what make him a man because first he is a living being then by virtue of possessing testicles is a man. The spiritual connotation of this is identity. Your identity is very essential in our relationship with God. Be careful with what you do to your identity because it matters to God.
  2. ILLEGITIMACY: The verse 2 of the passage again direct that a person begotten out of wedlock shall not enter into the assembly of God. A person begotten out of wedlock is called a bastard or an illegitimate child. This therefore means that God abhors every form of illegitimacy be it business or relationship. Also in Deut.23:18 it says, when you are bringing an offering to fulfill a vow, you must not bring to the house of God any offering from the earnings of a prostitute, whether a man or a woman for both are detestable to the Lord your God. God is not interested in earnings from illegitimate means.
  3. IDOLATRY: The verse 4 of the passage says that because the Ammonite and Moabites did not meet you with food and water, they hired Balaam to curse you, they must not enter the assembly of God. This verse shows how God detests wickedness and idolatry. Thus idolatry breeds wicked devise and so the Lord abhors it.
  4. INGRATITUDE: Verse 7 of the says; "Do not detest the Edomites or the Egyptians, because the Edomites are your relatives and you lived as foreigners among the Egyptians." Its crystal clear that the Lord demands we live a life of gratitude. In so many cases we have people complaining of how they were treated by relatives when they were living in their house forgetting that there are other relatives that refused to harbor them when they were in need of accommodation. Gratitude means appreciation and if one does not appreciate the least of kindness shown towards him/her in time of need then it will be difficult to expect gratitude from the same person when blessed for nothing.
  5. GREED: In verse 19 of the passage it says, "Do not charge interest on the loans you make to a fellow Israelite, whether you loan money, or food or anything else." This verse says that you are free to engage in business transactions but do not be greedy for profit, let your profit be considerate.
  6. DISTRUSTFUL: Verse 21 says, "When you make a vow to the Lord your God, be prompt in fulfilling whatever you promised Him. For the Lord your God demands that you promptly fulfill all your vows, or you will be guilty of sin." There is need for a child of God to always keep his/her word. God demands that from His children and the truth remains that if we can keep our promise to God whom we don't see then it is easy for us to keep our promise to our fellow human beings.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed.

POWER TO LIVE A PEACEFUL LIFE

By all means pursue peace with all men remains a standing order by God to man and adherence to this order determines how truthful we are as children of God.
Good morning friends, it's a wonderful day the Lord has made and I bring you this Sunday message from one of my father's in the Lord, Pastor Samuel Oguche, be blessed as you read thru.
Our Bible reading in today's service is from 2Timothy 2:22 and Hebrew 12:14. The Bible from the two portions we read clearly indicates that there are categories of people; the righteous and unrighteous.
What is peace? Literally speaking, peace is a state of not being troubled, a state of being free from the trouble around. To live a peaceful life, it borders on all other things. We seek peace in every area of our life; finances, marriage, health, relationship, family, ministry, academic etc.
SOME FACTS ABOUT LIVING A PEACEFUL LIFE
  1. To be a child of God, you must be a peacemaker. Matthew 5:9
  2. Living a peaceful life does not close door of challenges but how you handle the challenges confirms you are a peaceful child of God.
  3. In many instances, living a peaceful life can be keeping away from utterances.
  4. There is no unity where there is no peace. God wants a relationship that is peaceful amongst us.
  5. Jesus is the only source of enduring peace, John 14:27
  6. The world also give their own peace John 16:33
  7. There is always a price to pay for peace to be available.
  8. Don't delay in settling disputes with anyone who offends you lest the devil uses it against you, Matthew 5:25.
  9. 2Samuel 24:1-4 your peace can be manipulated by the devil, Job is a clear example. Job didn't suffer all that he did because he sinned rather it was because of the wickedness of the devil to subdue him and make him turn away from God.
  10. When you live a peaceful life, you attract people to yourself. Genesis 34:21
At the same we must be conscious of things that can erode peace in our lives and mind them. These are;
  • Refusing to follow Jesus prescription for handling disputes. Jesus prescribes dialogue.
  • Walking by assumption instead of making proper enquiry.
  • Refusal to make enquiry .
  • Keeping wrong information bottled up.
  • Giving room for unprofitable gossip.
  • Ungodly fear.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

CONQUERING FEAR

Good morning people of God. It's another beautiful day the Lord has made and we will continue to rejoice and be glad in it.
Our Bible reading for today is from Deuteronomy 20:1-end and the memory verse is from Deuteronomy 20:4 "for the Lord your God is He that goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you victory."
Growing up, my younger sister was tougher and had stamina more than myself so any time someone offends me and I tell her, she will confront the person and ensure the person never crossed my path again. Then woe betide you that you lay a finger on me, she will fight you like a wounded lion. Then between me and her, she loves to take what belongs to me without asking for permission but she will never tolerate another person trying that with me if not the person will face her wrath.
My relationship with my sister for me comes very close the relationship God has designed to have with man. The Bible passage we read today started with God warning the Israelites that at any point they go out to war against their enemies, when they see horses and chariots and an army larger than theirs they should not be afraid for the Lord their God who brought them out of Egypt is with them. This means that the things they are to see at war front is arranged to instill fear in them and if that happens, it will be easy to conquer them.
One would ask what is fear? Why fear? Fear from a dictionary definition means a painful emotion or passion excited by the expectation of evil or the apprehension of impending danger. This definition clearly states that fear is pain aggravated by an expectation of evil.
Now, the things arranged by an enemy to instill fear are always things that suggest danger and the devil is an expert of instilling fear. Today God is saying to someone reading this post that your problem is not what you see that poses to be a threat to your life or your job or your marriage but who is with you in this fight. The memory verse goes further to declare that it is the Lord your God that is to be with you, He is the one who will fight your enemies and give you victory.
Therefore to conquer fear all we need is God. We all have our fears in different areas of our lives and these fears depending on how we handle it can make or mar us, unfortunately the devil is the expert at using fear to bring one down.
I therefore ask you today; who is with you in this battle of life? The person with you determines if you will be victorious or fail.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

THE POWER OF HUMILITY

Good day friends, I believe we are all doing well in the presence of God today. For those that didn't make it to church today, I bring you the word of God straight from my father in the Lord Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Gift. As you come in contact with this message today, may your life receive the change that only God brings in Jesus name Amen.
Our Bible reading today comes from Daniel 4:28-33, Luke 1:52, 14:11. King Nebuchadnezzar was one of the world's greatest ruler. He conquered many kingdoms and defeated many nations that he became proud and ended up living like an animal for seven years. Many people have lost great things because of pride.  Jesus Christ our Lord taught us humility by washing the feet of His disciples. For he that exalts himself shall fall.
IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT HUMILITY
  1. It was pride that changed angels to demons.
  2. Hold strong your convictions, remain humble in your speech, let your actions speak for you.
  3. You learn humility through accepting humiliation cheerfully with a smile.
  4. Pride is concerned with who is right while humility is concerned with what is right. In most cases you need to let go who is right and go for what is right.
  5. If you are humble, nothing will touch you, not praises nor criticism nor humiliation.
  6. Humility is the ability to give up your pride and maintain your dignity.
  7. God can wreck your plans when He sees your plan is about to wreck you. Only humility will make you understand this fact.
  8. Humility is the disappearance of yourself and appearance of God in everything you are doing.
  9. Humility is the gateway into the grace of God.
  10. The first test of a truly great man is in his humility.
  11. Pride will cost you everything but leave you with nothing while humility will cost you nothing and leave you with everything.
  12. Pride makes you artificial while humility makes you real and original.
  13. It is better to loose pride and gain your soul than to loose your soul to pride.
  14. If people are trying hard to bring you down it only means you are above them .
  15. Always keep in mind that there is always someone superior than you. Even a child can teach you new things.
  16. James 4:10 - Humble yourself before the Lord and He will lift you up.
  17. Work for a cause and not for applaud. Don't strive to make your presence noticed rather let your absence be felt.
  18. Coins always make sound but paper is silent, so when your value increase from coins to paper ensure to be silent.
  19. A humble man makes room for progress.
  20. A mistake which makes you humble is better than an accomplishment that makes you proud and arrogant.
KEYS TO HUMILITY
  1. Always depend on God.
  2. Always leave a good impression on anybody you encounter.
  3. Be ready to learn at all times.
  4. Never discriminate, we are all created in the image and likeness of God.
  5. In every situation return all the glory to God.
  6. Always attribute your success to God, not to your academic qualifications, beauty, tribe or connection.
  7. Reject the urge to be jealous, always kill it whenever it comes up.
  8. Always do the right thing, no matter what let the will of God be paramount than your own will.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

THE POWER OF ALTAR

Good afternoon people of God and a very happy new Month to all of you. It's a miracle and equally an unmerited privilege that we entered this month of March in the land of the living. This therefore implies that we have another opportunity to right our wrongs, we have a chance to start afresh, we have another opportunity to worship God. I don't know who you are or what you are passing through at this critical period but one thing am sure of is that, if God has preserved your life till this day it's for a reason, just believe that His thoughts for you is of good and not of evil but to see you to an expected end.
I have been off the radar for some days now not because am sick or in any form of trouble but because am human and sometimes loose focus. To this end I will plead with you my lovely friends to always remember me in your prayers, I really need it.
Today, I just want to share with us a message from my father in the Lord Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Gift. This message was the deliverance message at our night vigil yesterday and I pray that your contact with this message will deliver you from any evil altar erected against you in Jesus name Amen.
Altars are either erected for God or for the devil. Good people erect altar for God while bad people erect altar for the devil. Altars are most times abstract but very powerful. Anywhere you erect altar for the devil, there is massive traffic of demons there and anywhere you raise altar for God there is massive traffic of angels there. Great men of God in the Bible erected altar for God at different strategic points in their life, we have Abraham, Noah, Moses, Joshua, Elijah, Elisha etc. Altar is different from shrine. An altar can be raised with word or sacrifice while a shrine must be constructed. There are different types of evil altar and they are;

  1. Crossroads altar - for summoning evil from the four cardinal points; north, east, west and south.
  2. Tree altar - usually erected on a tree with odd coloured cloth or nail.
  3. Photograph altar - in this case a picture is used as a point of contact to manipulate the victim.
  4. Image altar -in this case an effigy or a dull is used to represent the victim  and anything done to the image directly affects the victim.
  5. Reporting altar - in this case, there is a constant report made against the victim on daily basis before a shrine.
  6. Clothing altar
  7. River altar - this one, they transfer people's cases to the river.
  8. Ancestral altar - this has to do with invoking of ancestors to fight the victim.
  9. Family shrine; this is used in monitoring every member of the family.
  10. Physical altar - this is where human beings are kidnapped and used for sacrifice.
HOW TO DEAL WITH EVIL ALTARS
  1. Recognize their mode of operation
  2. Renounce every known and unknown sin
  3. Pray the right  specific prayers
  4. Kill the priest administering at the evil altar
  5. Withdraw your benefits and virtues from the altar
  6. Destroy the evil altar
  7. Erect the altar of God anywhere you go.
  8. Regularly dedicate yourself and your household to God.

Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

THE DEFAULT STATUS OF A CHILD OF GOD

Hello friends! Happy new day. I specially thank God for the miracle of sleeping and waking up and am sure you are rejoicing in this new day the Lord has made and granted us the privilege to be a part of.
Our Bible reading for today is from Deuteronomy 15:1-end and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 15:4 "But there will be no poor among you, for the Lord will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance to possess."
In a group of five children, you have the son of Dangote, the son of Sanusi, the son of Ngozi okonjo-Iweala, the son of a medical doctor and the son of a driver, it is obvious that without being told you will identify the son of the wealthy people, may be through their flamboyance or their attitude to material things or their discussion of adventures. Just like it is easy to identify the children of the wealthy people in the group, it should be easy for a child of God to be identified in the crowd.
A child of God is to at all times known for the following;

  1. Faithful to God and have no other god beside God.
  2. Be respectful to your parents, all and sundry.
  3. Do not steal or covet what does not belong to you, be it property or human.
  4. Do not lie or bear false witness.
Our memory verse clearly states that there will be no poor among you and the next verse instructed that for us as children of God to qualify in being rich we must obey all that the Lord commands us to do. Little wonder Joshua said in Joshua 1:8 "This book of law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Simple and straight to the point! So you see friends, by all standards the default status of a child of God is 'BLESSED', but to be blessed indeed is dependent on the following according to Joshua;

  1. Knowledge of the word of God which is the law
  2. Meditate on the law day and night
  3. Obey the law
The Bible says that the word of God is a light unto our path, therefore the knowledge of the word of God brings light into our life and the light shines that darkness cannot comprehend it.Meditating on the law day and night means internalizing and enshrining the law in our heart, when there is an internalization of a knowledge it gets into our subconscious and takes the automated position, at this this point we don't need to think too deep to get the knowledge function when it is needed. This is what happens when we internalize the word of God which is the law. It becomes a part of us and obeying it becomes very easy.
Finally, we must know that life is governed by principle and not miracle, so if God's standard states that we become rich by obeying His command, then when we disobey His command we should not expect to be rich.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

TITHING

Good morning beloved, hope your night was well spent? Well, it's a brand new day of the Lord and we must rejoice and be glad in it.
The message for today is a sensitive one but I am going to be treating it according to Biblical directive. Our Bible reading today is from Deuteronomy 14:1-end and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 14:28-29 "At the end of every three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your produce in the same year, and lay it up within your towns; and the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns shall come and eat and be filled; that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do." Wonderful God!
Honestly, I will not say this is the first time I am seeing this but this is the first time I will be breaking it down through the guiding of the Holy Spirit. Let's look at the entire Deuteronomy chapter 14, like I said earlier the book of Deuteronomy is the book of recollection, reiteration and command for the next level in the life of the children of Israel, it has also become same for me and if you believe you're moving to your next level it will be same to you. In the beginning of the chapter, God through Moses instructed the children of Israel on how to keep themselves even while mourning, what animals to eat and what animals they must not eat. He went on to also instruct them on the state of the food they will eat e.g they must not eat anything that dies of itself. They must not boil a kid in the mother's milk.
The next interesting instruction in the chapter is the instruction on tithing. It started from verse 22 of the chapter saying;

  1. You shall tithe all the yield of your seed which comes forth from the field year by year.
  2. This you must do before the Lord your God in a place He shall choose.
  3. You shall eat the tithe of your grain, of your wine, of your oil and the firstlings of your herd and flock; that you may learn to fear the Lord your God.
  4. If the way to the place God has chosen is too far, you shall convert your produce to money and go to a place God chooses and spend the money for whatever you desire, you shall eat there before the Lord your God, you and your household.
  5. In tithing you shall not forsake the Levite who is within your town for he has no portion of land or inheritance.
  6. At the end of every three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your produce in the same year and store them within your town. This will be for the Levite, the sojourner, the orphans, the widow and the needy.
What is tithe? Tithe is the one tenth of a man's income.
What is tithing? Tithing is the act of offering your tithe unto the Lord.
Our God is a God of procedure, a principled God, a God that pays great attention to details. Tithe and tithing was first mentioned in the book Deuteronomy where we read today, unfortunately whenever tithe is mentioned in church these days the Bible verse mentioned is Malachi 3:10.
Looking at the instructions given regarding tithes and tithing you will see the reason why Pastors refuse to make references to the book of Deuteronomy when tithe is mentioned. I have carefully written down these instructions and you will see where Malachi 3:10 became relevant.
The children of Israel having been instructed to always bring their tithes in a storehouse within their towns every three years were reneging and the Lord through prophet Malachi reminded them that He do not change, that they should return to Him and He will return to them, they should not rob Him through their tithes and offerings and they should bring their full tithes into the storehouse that there may be food in the Lord's house and they will see Him bless them and rebuke the devourer for their sake.
Now who is the food in the Lord's house meant for? Your answer is found in Deuteronomy 14:29. So do not mix it up, tithing is an important responsibility every child of God must fulfil and the best way to do that is according to the word of God.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

SHINING IN THE GLORY OF GOD

I bring you all greetings from my father in the Lord Pastor Samuel Oguche as I share with you this morning the message in church today.
Our Bible reading for today is from Isaiah 60:1-2 and our memory verse is from Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you."
What does it mean to shine? It means you're not having anything covering you from being seen.  To shine means that you can easily be spotted in the multitude. To shine means an outstanding fellow in the midst of others. NB; outstanding could be positive or negative, in this context we mean the positive kind of outstanding.  To shine means to be defiled.  To shine is to exhibit brilliance in intellectual power. To shine has to do with the way someone appear Ezekiel 43:2, it is our duty to shine in the glory of God.
What do we need to shine in the glory of God? Ezekiel 43:7-10. God has created us in His glory and therefore we designed to shine. There is the good kind of shining and the bad kind. We are not clamouring for the shining of the wicked rather the Godly kind of shining. Every shining needs a light, thus no Christian can shine without the light of God, the light of God is the word of God and the word of God is Jesus.
To shine in the glory of God is a matter of choice. When we are shining in the glory of God, personal ego will have to die. Shining in the glory of God removes the trouble of how am I going to do it.
How can one miss shining in the glory of God? The only way to miss shining in the glory of God is when one is living outside the word and will of God.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

CIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART

Good day people of God. I believe you all are enjoying the day, its a beautiful day the Lord has made and we continue to rejoice and be glad in it.
Our Bible reading for today is from Deuteronomy 10:1-end and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 10:16 "So circumcise the foreskin of your hearts, be no longer stubborn and hardened."
The message today is a combination of science and spirituality and i know a lot of people will ask me how? One thing that we must understand is that the spiritual controls the physical. In our reading of Deuteronomy 10, Moses continued with reminding the children of Israel of their misconduct and reiterating the fact that their salvation lies in their obedience to the commandment of God. The interesting part of Moses's instruction to the Israelites is in Deuteronomy 10:16, 'Circumcise the foreskin of your heart. To understand the magnitude of the instruction in this verse we need to clearly define these two key words; foreskin and circumcise.
What is foreskin? It is a fold of skin that covers a particular part of the body while circumcision is a surgical procedure that removes part of or all the foreskin. Thus circumcision of the heart implies removing everything that poses as a foreskin to the heart. The things that poses as foreskin to the heart could be stubbornness, human logic, envy, immorality etc. The word of God is saying that for one to occupy and enjoy the good of the promised then the circumcision of the heart must take place. This circumcision can only effectively take place with the help of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that will through the word of God teach you the right attitude, the right approach, the right utterance, the right feeling, the right prayer to pray and believe you me, when you learn and apply these teachings of the Holy Spirit you will discover the difference and the feeling is always great.
Today, i have a doctor who is a specialist in heart circumcision, he is non other than the Holy Spirit of God. In life, we are faced with different situations and because God gave man the power to choose between good and bad, we tend to use the human understanding to analyze issues, sometimes we get it right other times we get it wrong but there is one person who can never be wrong, He is the one who sees the end from the beginning and anyone that trust in Him will never perish. The only sure way to trust God is by circumcising the foreskin of our heart, removing those things that hinder us from hearing from God, those things that hinder us from seeing things thru the eyes of God those things that challenge our obedience to the command of God. For us to occupy our promised land and enjoy it God must come first in everything we do.

Sadly, it took me two days plus to understand and communicate this message. I therefore ask you my lovely readers to always put me in your prayers.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed.

GOD'S SET TIME

Good day people of God. I trust your day is going fine, on my own end, I see God's love all around me. You know this our God is a wonderful God, He truly blesses those who diligently seek him and I pray for you today that God will give you the grace to diligently seek Him and obtain His blessings.
Today's message is so interesting and to be honest, i finished reading my Bible in the morning and has been pondering on the wonder and i tell you what, i am overwhelmed at this God.
Our Bible reading today is from Deuteronomy 9:1-end and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 9: 1"Listen O Israel! Today you are about to cross the Jordan River to take over the land belonging to nations much greater and more powerful than you. They live in cities with walls that reach to the sky." Hallelujah! I will always call the book of Deuteronomy the book of recollection.
In our passage today, Moses told the children of Israel that the day has finally come when they will cross River Jordan to go into their promised land and dispossess the inhabitants of the land. The inhabitants we were meant to understand are greater than them in number and more powerful than they are going by human understanding and calculation. Moses went on to tell them that if it is by their righteousness they do no merit to possess that land but that God will go ahead of them to destroy the people and bring them down before the Israelites. This He will do in fulfilling the covenant He has with their ancestors and secondly because the people are wicked.
God's set time do not consider your qualification or strength. When it is God's set time to bless you He puts together all that is needed to make your blessing get to you. Sometimes the thing that was designed to stop you becomes an instrument for your elevation. We saw that in the story of David and Goliath, the sword Goliath had to use in cutting David into pieces became the sword David used in cutting off Goliath's head. The story of Mordecai is another example, the galoon  Haman arranged for the execution of Mordecai became the galoon used in wiping away the enemies of Mordecai, Haman and his household.
We serve a God that blesses beyond human comprehension. He does not require you to be qualified before He blesses you, all that matters to Him is the set time. For when the set time has come for God to bless you, He breaks all protocol and installs you in your place of glory.
I don't know how long you have been waiting on God for His blessings, Sarah waited for God even when it was past her biological clock to conceive and bear a child, God came true to His word, Sarah had Isaac. Your divine set time will come, yes it may be too late going by your calculation but my dear know it for sure that God is never late, and He comes late when He wants to come big.
I join my faith with yours to say that it is well.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

CONNECTING TO DIVINE FAVOR

Good morning people of God, it's a wonderful day the Lord has made and we will continue to rejoice and be glad in it. I have been pretty busy with some serious kingdom assignment and by the grace of God it all ended in praise. I thank God for the privilege to work in His vineyard.
As always on this platform today I bring you the sermon in my church service for Sunday 10th February, 2019. It is coming a bit late but I pray the Lord bless you richly as you come in contact with the message.
Favor opens door, favor can catapult you to the peak of your career in no time. A single day of favor is more than thousand days of labor.
IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT DIVINE FAVOR
  1. When God grants you favor you become unstoppable.
  2. Other people may have more talent, education or experience but divine favor can cause you to go places you're not qualified to go.
  3. God's favor can turn rejection to acceptance.
  4. When you walk in God's favor, His blessings will chase you.
  5. When God wants to bless you, He will cause situation to come together in your favor.
  6. Sometimes God will bypass what you hope for so that He can give you what you really need.
  7. Divine favor turns rejection into destiny.

  9. Divine favor is when people say no, circumstances around you say no but God say yes.
  10. Divine favor lasts a lifetime.
  11. Divine favor blocks wicked plans against you.
  12. One touch of divine favor can catapult you from nowhere to somewhere/nothing to something.
  13. They might not like you but they cannot stop you because you carry divine favor.
  14. When God opens your book even those that don't like cannot close it.
Things that stop divine favor are the following;
  1. Living in sin.
  2. Bad company, disconnect from sinner friends.
  3. Giving Satan glory for what God had done.
  4. Not locating a strong man of God.
This message is simple and straight to the point and I pray  God to open your heart to understand this word and enjoy the blessings in it.
Till I come your way again be richly blessed.

THE PURPOSE FOR THE TRIBULATION

Hello friends! How is your day going, hope you are glad and rejoicing in this day of our Lord. My day has been busy and miraculous. My prayer is that God will visit you where you need Him most in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Bible reading for today is from Deuteronomy 8:1- end and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 8:3 "And He humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that He might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live."
The book of Deuteronomy is a book of recollection and reinforcement, i call it the book of cause and effect. In our reading today, the Lord made it clear to the children of Israel why He allowed them pass thru tribulation and that has become our message for today.
What is tribulation? Tribulation is an event or situation that occasions distress, trouble or vexation. It can be said to be severe affliction. Life they say is filled with ups and down. There is an adage in Igbo language that says "otee aka odiwara njo, ya adi nma." This means that no condition is permanent. Because no condition is permanent it implies that tribulation is not permanent, it is just for a period. Some tribulation lasts longer than others but whatever be the case every tribulation is for a purpose. In the case of the children of Israel, their tribulation included the following;

  • Hunger
  • Thirst
  • Homelessness
While in their trying time, they did not feed on the food they were conversant with rather God fed them with manna. They did not drink water from sources known to them rather they drank water from rock that is struck with Moses' rod. They lived in tents in the wilderness, yet it was not recorded that the wild beast came in on them and devoured them. They were safe, healthy and as young as they were when they entered the wilderness. Will you say that their existence is not miraculous? Going by human calculation and understanding they were at great risk in the wilderness yet they were safe.
Their tribulation was for them to know that their existence is sure by the word of God, what lesson are you learning from your own tribulation?
The trials of life is to make us strong, wise and better people, are you becoming all of that or are you allowing your tribulation swallow you?
I shall continue this message tomorrow because the Holy Spirit is saying so much to me concerning this message. In fact am living it at the moment.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed.

REWARD OF OBEDIENCE

Good morning people of God, the day is running fast today, above all its a beautiful day the Lord has made and we continue to rejoice and be glad in it.
Let us quickly go to the business of the day, our Bible reading today is from Deuteronomy 7:1-end and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 7:23 "But the Lord your God will give them over to you, and throw them into great confusion until they are destroyed."
To obey means to comply, to adhere to instructions, to respect orders and constituted authority. Life is governed by principles and not miracles even God our creator is a principled Personality. Life is also about give and take, and what you give is what you get. When obedience is the order of the day, support becomes a necessity. In our Bible reading today, we see God warning the Israelites not to have anything with the occupants of the promised land. One will ask why did God command them so? God knows the people and knows how corruptible they are and would not want them to corrupt the Israelites. The Israelites are people God has set apart to be their God and His people and it won't profit God to allow them be corrupted by the occupants of the promised. In obeying this commandment, God promised to support them and give the people on a silver platter to them.
We in so many ways have people we are contending with for different reasons. Some of these people are mightier than we are but if we obey God's commandments we will walk all over our enemies for it is not by power nor by might but by the grace of God.
May that grace of God rest and abide with us now and always.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

LOVE OF GOD = FEAR OF GOD

Good morning friends, it's another day of the Lord and I pray we all rejoice and be glad in it.
The message for today excites me and I pray you join in my excitement as you read thru. Today's Bible reading is from the book of Deuteronomy 5-6 and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 6:24 "And the Lord commanded us to do all these statues, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive as at this day."
Before we go on, it will be wise to define some key words in the topic of our message today;
Love: love is a strong feeling induced by that which delights or command admiration. To love is to admire, to be affectionate, to be devoted.
Fear: fear is respectful reverence for men of authority or worth.
These definitions clearly states that fear is related to love. In our Bible reading today, Moses was still reminding the children of Israel of God's faithfulness, commandments and the need for them to obey all that the Lord has commanded them. In the both chapters read this morning, the paramount thing God requires from His own is to fear and obey His commandments.
One would wonder why fear? The truth is that fear comes as a result of respect and respect is not forced. When you respect someone, you automatically avoid offending the person and this amounts to admiration. Admiration is a resultant effect of love. On the other hand, when you love someone, you do so because the person has touched your life in a special way, you love because the person has in some ways proven to care, you love because the person has proven to be trusted. In loving, it becomes difficult to offend or to disobey the person we love and when you have grown to love someone and incapable of disobeying the person it amounts to respectful reverence for the person. We therefore have love = fear.
How much do you love the Lord? How much do you obey His commandments? Remember the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and it preserves.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

OPERATING IN THE WISDOM OF GOD

Good morning people of God, its a beautiful day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. It is a wonderful feeling every morning, experiencing the miracle of sleeping and waking up. You may not understand the magnitude of God's love till you pay a visit to the morgue or the cemetery.
Today's message food for thought and i pray that the Almighty God will open our ears and mind to understand His word and become vessels of honor unto Him. Our Bible reading for today is from Deuteronomy 4:1-end and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 4:5-6 "Behold, I have taught you statues and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statues, and say, surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people."
Still on the issue of recollection, Moses knowing that he will soon die has been advising the children of Israel and reminding them of their numerous encounter with God, His statue and ordinances like a father would. He emphasized the need for them to obey God's command for that is the only way they can live and achieve good success.
Today the same words of Moses i bring to you, operating in the wisdom of God means;

  1. Obeying God without adding your own logic or understanding.
  2. Trusting God's judgment and following His lead.
  3. Accepting that because God knows the end from beginning, His guidance therefore is for your good.
Take for instance, when we were kids getting ready to go to the boarding house, i remember my mum warning me to be contended with what they (my parents) have provided for me. I should pay attention to my studies, study hard for thats the only way to pass my exams excellently, avoid wrong company and always be punctual at all school functions. I remember that i managed to be a good girl until my JSS III, i made my Junior WAEC with flying colors but in SSI i joined a group of friends that will go partying when lectures are going on. I got to the point of stealing my mum's jewelries to sell and use the money in buying party wears. Immoral lifestyle became my thing, i ended up being suspended and at that resulted in my loosing a year in my secondary education. I learnt my lesson the hard way. The advice of my mum was on point because she has been thru that phase of life so she knew better, then imagine God who is all knowing, His advice is the greatest wisdom for anyone who believes and operates in it.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed.

DANGER OF LOOKING AT WRONG DIRECTION

Good evening people of God, it's been a busy day for me and I tell you what, I feel great serving God in any capacity i find myself. It is indeed the day of the Lord and I bet you are rejoicing and glad in it.
Like always, on this platform I bring you the Sunday sermon from church and today's message is quite interesting and reassuring. Our Bible reading is from Psalm 121:1-end and our memory verse is from 2Kings 5:10-12"And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored, and you shall be clean." But Na`aman was angry and went away, saying, "Behold, I thought that he would surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand and cure the leper". Are there not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them, and be clean?" so he turned and went away in a rage."
The story of Na`aman is a popular bible story and it is a clear illustration of how we undermine the real solution to our problem just because it comes in package we least expect.
There are stories in the Bible that illustrates what it looks like to look in the wrong direction and their consequences. Some of the stories quickly comes to mind; the story of Jacob and his insistence on being married to Rachael, in the end Rachael was the one that brought idols into his household while Leah was the one that gave Jacob the son that through his lineage Jesus came to the world.
We have the story of Abraham when he went to get a son through Sarah's handmaid, he got Ishmael and we know the rest of the story and how it has affected the world's peace.
POINTS TO NOTE; looking at the wrong direction means:

  1. When you look at the wrong direction, you will never be satisfied with the right solution.
  2. If you are looking at the wrong direction, you will always be in haste to get solution.
  3. Yielding to personal emotions can cause us delusion.
  4. When the mind is made up about what you know, you tend to look the wrong way.
  5. Ignorance of the knowledge of the presence of God amounts to looking at the wrong direction.
  6. Looking unto God always look foolish.
We therefore must look into God because there is a river that carries solution and that is the blood of Jesus Christ.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed .

POWER TO OVERCOME STORM

Hello people of God, I believe you are all doing well. It has been a beautiful day, I went for vigil, came back and have been sleeping but I must not let the day go without sharing the message for today.
Am so excited about today's message because it is straight from my father in the Lord Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Gift. My first contact with this message I felt something great and I pray that as you come in contact with the message today that your life will not remain the same and you will be well positioned to confront the storms in your life in Jesus name, Amen.
Our Bible reading is from Matthew 8:23-27. Storm is an unpleasant circumstance, it is that thing that gives one discomfort, it is your faith tester and your destiny lifter.
LESSONS FROM THE PASSAGE
  1. The disciples followed Him, thus always follow Jesus in everything you want to do,let Jesus be your guide.

  4. Cry out for help, God is ready to answer you any time you cry.
There are different types of storm and they are; financial storm, marriage storm, health storm, family storm academic storm, ministerial storm & jealousy storm.
IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT STORM

  8. What you tell yourself everyday will either lift you up or bring you down.
  9. You are not born a winner or a looser rather you are born a chooser.
  10. Storm can make you or mar you.
  11. If you hide from storm, you will never grow, the best way to solve a problem is to deal with the problem head on.
  12. Never judge anyone by the chapter you met that person.
  13. Some people create their own storm, then get upset when it starts raining. Somethings you say, some actions you take can create storm.
  14. Your greatest test is when you are able to bless someone while you're in a storm.

THE POWER OF RECOLLECTION

Hello people of God, it's another beautiful day and hurray it's a new month and I say 'Happy New Month' friends. May this month be sweet and fruitful for all of us in Jesus name, Amen.
Our Bible reading today is from the book of Deuteronomy chapters 1-3 and our memory verse is from Deuteronomy 3:21 "And I commanded Joshua at that time, 'Your eyes have seen all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings; so will the Lord do to all the kingdoms into which you are going over. We finished reading the book of Numbers yesterday and today the reading of the book of Deuteronomy started with Moses recollecting on the journey so far. The message today is drawn from Moses' act in Deuteronomy 1-3. There is this popular song that says; "count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings, see what God has done, count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done." You can not successfully count your blessings without recollecting. And someone will ask; what is recollection? Recollection is a process of remembering. It simply means to recall past occurrences. Thus the act of recollecting aids in identifying the following;

  1. The take off point i.e where it all started
  2. The situation of things before it started
  3. The process of change as it started
  4. The challenges encountered while the process is ongoing .
  5. Achievements recorded since it all started.
  6. Current situation of things.
The list is endless depending on the point of analysis. My point therefore is that Moses deemed it fit to recollect their journey so far, while he was doing that he pointed out what God has done for the children of Israel right from the land of Egypt. He also pointed out the ugly attitude of the children of Israel, how their attitude have angered God and also how their attitude has affected his relationship with God. He also revealed why he will not be stepping into the promised land. Above all in his recollecting the journey so far, it became clear to the people that as long as God is with them and they obey His commandments they will possess their promised land.
The year 2019 just started, we are already done with the month of January, and today we are already in February, you probably have a plan for the year and in that plan, there strides to be made in January. For some those strides were made successfully while some didn't accomplish theirs. You need to recollect and identify the things you did right, the ones you did wrong, the ones you ignored and see the points God intervened.
In recollecting we are able to count our blessings and appreciate God for His marvelous works in our lives.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

TRANSFER OF INHERITANCE

Good morning people of God, its a privilege to see the end of January 2019. A lot of people started the month but are not alive to see the end of the month, we are here in the land of the living witnessing the end of January 2019. The daily message from God on this blog is One Month old today and by the grace of God it is has been wonderful and insightful. I want to quickly appreciate my readers and encourage you to never give up on God for everything may fail you but God never fails. I also want to encourage you my readers to bring forward your own contributions and understanding for the word of God says iron sharpeneth iron.

Today's Bible reading is from the book of Numbers 36:1-end and coincidentally this is the last chapter of the book of Numbers. Our memory verse is from Numbers 36:7 "So shall no inheritance of the Israelites be transfered from tribe to tribe, for every one of the Israelites shall cling to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers."
The story in our bible reading today is a re-visitation of  the story of the daughters of Zelophehad, we remember in Numbers 26 how the daughters of Zelophehad approached Moses asking if their father's inability to have male children will make him loose his inheritance. Moses inquired of the Lord and the Lord said the daughters should have their father's inheritance. Here in the passage for today's reading, the kinsmen of Zelophehad brought a petition before Moses saying that the Lord instructed that the land owned by our brother Zelophehad be given to his daughters, but if they marry from another tribe, the land will go with them to the tribe into which they marry, In this way, the total area of our tribal land will be reduced. Moses acknowledged that the brothers of Zelophehad were right and according to the word of God commanded that the daughters of Zelophehad are free to marry whosoever they want but it must be within the tribe of their father.
It is one thing to receive from God an inheritance, its another thing to keep the inheritance, be accountable for it and pass it on to the right person/custodian.
What is an inheritance? An inheritance is a permanent valuable possession or blessing received without purchase. In our bible story the inheritance in question is land, as children of God our inheritance starts with salvation, virtues, goodness and ends with eternal life with God. Just like our memory verse clearly states these inheritance is not to be transfered from tribe to tribe, it is to remain within the tribe. In life there exists different tribe, the tribe of the lion of Judah and the tribe of Lucifer. And divine inheritance can be transfered through communing with people of other tribe by friendship or marriage, once this relationship is established transfer of inheritance is very easy, little wonder the bible says in 2Corinthians 6:14, we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
Our God does not engage Himself in an unprofitable business, He guards His own jealously and He expects us His children to do the same. For that which we have received from Him we must keep in tact. Our attitude and association must be in form so that we don't transfer our divine inheritance to another tribe.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed.

THE EXCHANGE

Good day people of God, hope your day is going very well? Mine has been splendid and i give God the praise for counting me worthy to be alive in the land of the living to testify to His goodness.
The message for today is a tough one but i pray that God will give us clarity as we read through in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Our Bible reading for today is from Numbers 35:1-end, and our memory verse is Numbers 35:33 "So you shall not pollute the land in which you live; for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood shed in it, but by the blood of him who shed it." Hallelujah!
Our God is indeed a good God. Let me not get too excited, so join me as we go through the statue and ordinance regarding murder and the punishment due to a murderer. In our Bible reading today, the Lord spoke to Moses concerning the Levites in respect of the portion of land that should be earmarked for them. In verse 9 the Lord spoke to Moses concerning cities that should be set aside as city of refuge for those who mistakenly kill someone. The Lord made it clear that it is not a mistake if;

  1. a person smite his fellow man with an instrument of iron and that leads to his death.
  2. a person throw stone to his fellow man and that leads to his death.
  3. a person smite his fellow man with a hand weapon of wood and that leads to his death.
The Lord also made it clear that the only eligible avenger is the relative of the person murdered. But He also mentioned instances where a person may die in the hands of someone and the person did not intend to kill. The city of refuge therefore is meant for individuals that committed murder unintentionally.
God understands the pain one feels when you loose a relative and the fact that if the relative is murdered could amount to one going for revenge. God in His wisdom  therefore instructed that the people should appoint refuge cities when offenders can go and seek refuge to avoid more shedding of blood.
Today's message deals with the place Jesus took in His rescue of humanity. First of all we agree as our memory verse stated that the only atonement for blood being shed is the blood of the one who shed it. This means that as a single girl if you have committed abortion three times, you need to shed your blood three times to atone for your sin. If you have killed three persons, your blood is needed in three portions for an atonement to be made. Imagine if Jesus did not come to shed His blood for our sins, we might have been wiped out and the earth would have been emptied.
The exchange therefore is the fact that Jesus Christ who knew no sin died in the place of we sinners and His blood is used for the atonement of our sins.
Is this Jesus not worthy of our praise and thanksgiving for the wonderful work He did for us on the cross of calvary? I implore you to take a minute and worship the Lord for this wonderful exchange that has preserved our lives and given us the privilege to be with Him in eternity.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

DOGGED LOYALTY

Good morning people of God. Its another great and beautiful day the Lord has made and we must rejoice and be glad in it, am rejoicing in it already, how about you?
Our reading today covers Numbers 29-34 and our memory verse is Numbers 31:2 "Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people." To be gathered unto thy people in this parlance means to die.
From Numbers 29, we see Moses religiously and committedly attending to his duties as commanded by God, and in chapter 31 the Lord spoke to him commanding him to avenge the Israelites of the Midianites and get set to die. Moses did as the Lord commanded and after the war against the Midianites, Moses also handled the sharing of the land as can be seen in Numbers 32, 33 & 34.

What does the word 'dogged' mean? It means obstinately determined, persistent, tenacious, perseverance. It means never giving up. The word 'loyalty' means the state of being faithful, being true to a person. When you bring the two words that is our message today it simply means 'obstinate determination to be true to a person. The man Moses is our case study in today's message. Moses encountered God at the Mountain of God and ever since always talked with God one on one, due to the impatient and annoying way the children of Israel complain he offended God in Numbers 20, when God commanded him to speak to the rock and instead he smote the rock with his rod. This act of his made God deny him entering the promised land. His relationship with God did not stop, God continued to talk to him and for everything the Lord commanded him to do or tell the people he did as directed. One would think that may be God will forgive him and allow him enter the promised land but as we can see that was not the case. On the hand Moses did not stop obeying and doing the will of God because God has said he will not enter the promised land. Rather Moses was true to God till the end.
This story of Moses' end left me wondering for days now, how many of us Christians will stay true to our faith if we found ourselves in Moses' situation? I bet a lot of us will give up. In case you don't get the scenario, here is an illustration; you were leading a team of professionals to bid for a contract and along the line you failed in fulfilling one of the conditions and the leader of the organization called your attention to it saying, that for this misconduct from you, your team will get the contract but you will not be a part of the team anymore. After the leader of the organization had pronounced his verdict on you, he still directed you on what must be done for the contract to come to your team. Will you carry out his orders knowing that you will no longer be a part of the team and as such you will not benefit from the contract?
The illustration i guess made it clearer, that was the situation of Moses at the time but he remained loyal to God. In recent times selfishness has become the bane of human co-existence, its all about me, me, me, immediately we realize there is nothing in it for us, we take our leave and abandon the ship to wreck. Today God is using the story of Moses to talk to us. It is high time we forgot self and did the will of God whether it benefits us or not. Remember God sees the end from the beginning and He knows best which is why Proverb says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed.

CONNECTING TO DIVINE GRACE OF GOD

Good day friends, it's another beautiful day the Lord has made and I believe we are rejoicing in it.
Yesterday was memorial for me, I woke up and started studying the Bible, I read about four chapters of the book of Numbers, strikingly I didn't get any ministration from the Holy Spirit, I only pondered on the stories till the end of the day and that is why I didn't post any message yesterday. I personally saw my situation yesterday as God telling me that I am nothing without Him. I therefore do not take it for granted the grace and privilege to hear from the Holy Spirit on daily basis.
Today's message like every Sunday is a message from the sermon in my church Omega Power Ministry and I pray you be blessed as you read through.

Our Bible passage is from  Acts 6:8, Ephesians 4:7. Grace is unearned ,undeserved mercy of God. It is God's mercy that makes God grant one grace.
IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT GRACE
  1. Grace means favor minus labor.
  2. Grace is promotion without qualifications.
  3. When grace speaks, protocols are suspended.
  4. When grace speaks, laws are broken.
  5. When grace speaks, educational qualifications become useless .
  6. When grace speaks, connections become useless. When you are connected to God's grace God becomes your connection.
  7. Grace is when God gives you what you don't deserve.
  8. The greatest sin on earth is no match for God's grace. It doesn't matter what your sins are when grace steps in, your life will not remain the same.
  9. Grace is a gift that costs the giver everything and costs nothing for the receiver.
  10. The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you.
  11. God's grace is no excuse to sin but rather a reason to love and serve God more.
  12. Just when the enemy is about to overwhelm you, God's grace will appear and take care of you.
  13. God's grace can convert your mess to message.
  14. 1Peter 5:10, After your season of suffering, God's grace will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
  15. Sin is not the major reason people go to hell fire, but rejecting God's grace is the reason.
  16. God's grace unlocks the gates of heaven.
  17. God's grace meets us where we are but doesn't leave us where we are. Once you connect the grace of God you must be lifted.
  18. No matter how great your problems are, the grace of  God is greater than that problem.
  19. In God's garden of grace, even a broken tree, a dead tree can still beat fruits.
Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

WHAT DO YOU OFFER TO GOD?

Hello friends, how do you do? Its another beautiful day and i believe God is doing beautiful things in our lives, Hallelujah! Our message for today is a question that we all must answer in all honesty. My people (Ndi Igbo) say that 'when you greet the king for what he has done, he will do more.' Our bible reading today interestingly deals with the different types of offering one is expected to offer to God.
Our Bible reading is from Numbers 28:1-end and our memory verse is from Numbers 28:31 "Besides the continual burnt offering and its cereal offering, you shall offer them and their drink offering. See that they are without blemish." In our reading today, the Lord said to Moses, he should command the children of Israel to always offer their offerings in its due season. In the passage we see the different types of offering and they are;

  1. The offering by fire - Numbers 28:3
  2. The offering for the sabbath day - Numbers 28:9
  3. The offering for the beginning of the month - Numbers 28:11
  4. The passover offering - Numbers 28:16
  5. The first fruit offering - Numbers 28:26
In our memory verse, the Lord made it clear that the offering must be without blemish. We all remember the story of Cain and Abel, how Abel's offering was without blemish and Cain's offering was with blemish. The Lord had respect unto Abel and unto his offering but unto Cain the Lord had no respect - Genesis 4:4-5.
The message today is a question and as a matter of fact we really need to sit back and check if we have been offering to God sacrifices with blemish or not. You must note that sacrifices can come as money, material or service, so whichever one we prefer, have they been without blemish or not? As humans, when someone gives you a carelessly used item as a gift, how do you feel? Or when someone gives you a help that compounds your problem, how do you feel? If we humans do not feel good when we are given gifts with blemish, then imagine how God feels.
And one may ask, what is blemish? It is a mark of deformity or injury, it can be physical or moral. Blemish can also be defined as anything that diminishes the beauty or renders imperfect that which is well formed. By this definition we can say that offerings with blemish are the following;

  1. Money that is physically damaged.
  2. Offering that is intangible considering the blessings of God in one's life.
  3. Offering to God ill gotten wealth and money.
  4. Offering made with grudges.
  5. Offering made to show off.
  6. Offering made with malice.
I therefore ask you my beloved, what do you offer to God? Life is governed by principles, that is why what you sow is what you reap, what you give is what you receive. The offerings we make to God either in material or in service determines what comes to us from God. Remember it was the sacrifice that Solomon offered to God that caused God to bless him with wisdom and wealth - 1Kings 1:4-5. Be mindful what you offer to God.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed.

THE IMPARTIAL GOD

Good day people of God, its a beautiful day and i believe we are glad and rejoicing in it. Without wasting your time, i will quickly jump into the day's message. Our Bible reading for today is from Numbers 27:1-end and our memory verse is from Numbers 27:6 "And the Lord said to Moses, 'the daughters of Zelophehad are right; you shall give them possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren and cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them'."
To be impartial means to not favor one more than the other. In our today's reading, we read the story of the 'daughters of Zelophehad who had no son before he died. At the time Moses took the census of the children of Israel as commanded by God and also had given the portions of the land tribe by tribe. The daughters of Zelophehad approached Moses saying "why should the name of our father be taken away from his family because he had no son? Moses inquired of the Lord and the Lord answered as seen in our memory verse today.
The second part of our reading had the story of Joshua's appointment as the leader of the Israelites after Moses. In our today's reading, the Lord took Moses up to the Mount of Abarim, showed him the land He (God) had give to the Israelites. The Lord also told Moses that after seeing the land he shall die and Moses said to the Lord, "Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation." Moses gave God the chance to choose the man He deemed fit to lead the people of Israel and the Lord choose Joshua saying, "Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit and lay your hand upon him."
Hear me, all through the journey from Egypt Joshua has been an assistant to Moses, he was among the spies that went to spy the promised land but was not among those that brought the evil report. It was never recorded that Joshua went against his master Moses neither did he ever rebel against Moses knowing the type of temper Moses has and the fact that he is human and has the tendency to make mistakes. Joshua was loyal to his master to the end. You must also know that Joshua is from the tribe of Ephraim, going by the order of seniority it would not have been Joshua but God choose him.
One would ask, why did God choose Joshua, who would have managed the children of Israel better than the man that managed Moses. To be someone's assistant implies managing the person in virtually all ramification. If we understand the person of Moses we would appreciate Joshua his assistant. God does not appoint whom He has not tested. Joshua was obedient, humble, and efficient and these earned him the leadership position God gave him.
The impartiality of God denotes that God takes into consideration the minutest detail of our lives and that is why His judgment is unquestionable.
Have you put in so much in that job and your promotion is being denied?
Have you toiled honestly in that business and it refused to break even talk more of grow and expand?
I have good news for you, the impartial God that i serve must give you what is due to you in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Till i come your way again, remain blessed.

THE REPLACEMENT CAPABILITY OF GOD

Good morning people of God, its another beautiful day the Lord has made, we must rejoice and be glad in it. You must have realized by now that we are on a Biblical journey. In this journey we will be uncovering the nature of the God we serve through the encounters of the faithfuls as recorded in the Bible. We will also draw life lessons that will guide us in becoming  better children of God in all ramification.
The Bible reading for today is from Numbers 26:1-end and our memory verse is from Numbers 25:65 "For the Lord said of them, 'They shall die in the wilderness.' There was not a man of them except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun." Our memory verse clearly states that the Lord said that they shall die in the wilderness and they all died except Caleb and Joshua.
If you have been reading from me, you will remember the story in the post titled 'KNOWING THE MAGNITUDE OF YOUR STRUGGLE'. It is the story of the spies sent by Moses to go spy the promised land. They went and saw that all that was said about the land was true but they had an evil report which states that the inhabitants of the promised land are mighty and giants and the children of Israel are like ants before them, so it will be difficult for the Israelites to displace the inhabitants. On the other hand Caleb and Joshua said otherwise because they knew that with God they will overcome and possess the land Numbers 13:30. The evil report stirred up the people that they considered raising a leader to take them back to Egypt. They murmured against the Lord, their murmuring kindled God's anger, God told Moses that He will wipe them off the earth and raise a nation through Moses, Moses pleaded on the people's behalf , God heard the pleas of Moses but insisted that the people will not enter the promised land only their children.
In today's reading, we see God fulfilling His word, the Lord asked Moses and Eleazar to take census of the people from age Twenty and above, they did and the people numbered Six Hundred and One Thousand, Seven Hundred and Fifty men. Remember that when they were numbered in the wilderness, they were about Six Hundred Thousand, now here in the plains of Moab they are also Six Hundred and One Thousand.
The point am lead to make here is that, assuming God needed at least Six Hundred thousand men to carry out the Take-Over project of the promised land, He had it when He asked Moses to send men to spy the land, the men lost faith in God and got scared at sighting the Anaks. Forty years later, God raised another Six Hundred Thousand men who eventually carried out the project.
What has God laid in your heart to do? Have you started doing it? What are you waiting for? In so many cases God commands us to do a task, instead of getting started, we rather start analyzing the task and in doing so, we begin to identify challenges and before you know it the challenges you have observed takes a better part of you and you withdraw and never attend to the task. Then weeks or months later, you see someone doing the task and prospering and you feel like flogging yourself. If you have ever found yourself in such situation, today's message is for you.
The reality is that at different points the Lord gives people task, these tasks will challenge our personal strength, our faith in God, and as well in tackling the challenges make us wiser and stronger in faith. Until you attend to the task and have the experience you will never become that wise and strong man and prosperity demands wisdom and strength.
Our God can use any body to accomplish a purpose, so consider yourself privileged to be used by God and get onto the task and watch God celebrate you.
Till i come your way, remain blessed.

THE WILES OF THE ENEMY

Good day people of God, how is your day going? I had an early morning engagement, a seminar on The Impact of Trauma and Traumatic Experiences on Societal Health: An Initiative for Mental Health Wellness. It was very enlightening, i guess it will be a topic for another day. Let us quickly look at what the Lord is saying to us today.
Our Bible reading is from Numbers 25:1-end and our memory verse is from Numbers 25:16-18 "And the Lord said to Moses, Harass the Midianites and smite them; for they harassed you with their wiles, with which they beguiled you in the matter of Pe`or, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of the prince of Midian, their sister, who was slain on the day of the plaque on account of Pe`or."

Wiles means practices for deception, ensnaring. It also means to turn away as by diversion. It means to be tricky. The Bible made us to understand that the devil, the enemy is roaming about and roaring like a wounded lion looking for whom to devour. The enemy is full of deceit, this he uses perfectly when the children of God is not in tune with the Holy Spirit, he first of all gets one carried away with things that should not really matter and when he confirms you have lost your mind, his manipulative tendency goes to work and this result in a child of God involved in devilish and malicious exercise.
As we see in our reading today, the children of Israel in their journey had got to Shettim and dwelt there. Apparently they were trying to relax and have some recreational activities and that landed in their playing harlot with the daughters of Moab. This play resulted in the children of Israel mingling with the Moabites, attending their ceremonies, eating & drinking food & wine sacrificed to the Moabites' gods and also bowing down to their gods. You see the chain, from simple play to idol worshiping.
The journey to our promised land is challenging because the enemy do not want to see us make it to our promised land, our place of glory, also the inhabitants of the promised land do not want to displaced even though they know that their time is up. So they will at all cost use their wiles to get one carried away to misbehave, just may be, with that God will lay off our case. The enemy knows that it is only sin that creates a barrier between God and man, so he will always use his wiles to get man to sin against God.
Brethren, I urge you today to be wise and mindful of the wiles of the evil one so you are not robbed of your divine blessings.

Till I come your way again, remain blessed.

WHEN GOD IS DETERMINED TO BLESS YOU

Good morning friends, its a beautiful day, the day of the Lord and we will rejoice and be glad in it. I want to appreciate the Holy Spirit of God that reveals His word on daily basis for our spiritual growth. I do not take it for granted the privilege God has given me to receive these deep understanding. I therefore pray for you as you come in contact with this message today that God will break all protocols for your sake and bless you richly in Jesus Name, Amen.
Our Bible reading for today is from Numbers 24:1-end and our memory verse is from Numbers 24:23 "Balaam concluded his messages by saying:'Alas who can survive unless God has willed it.'"
The Message today excites me, from our reading today you will realize that we are still on the story of Balak and Balaam. Now, after Balak set up seven alters in three different location expecting Balaam to go in and curse the children of Israel and the opposite was the case. Balaam then saw that it pleased God to bless Israel, he (Balaam) did not resort to divination but instead looked towards the people as they camped tribe by tribe. The Holy Spirit came upon him and he started delivering his message and blessed the Israelites.
Balaam for all the time Balak requested for him to curse the children of Israel has always performed divination to connect with the spirit to be able to foretell the future and see how he can curse the people, the Lord always commanded him to bless them. But when it dawned on Balaam that the Lord is determined to bless the Israelites, there was no need for divination instead the Holy Spirit came upon Balaam and God's blessings flowed like rivers of water from the mouth of Balaam. God do not bless the qualified but rather His blessings qualifies one, God does not take permission to bless anyone cos He had said in His word; "I will bless whom i will bless and i will curse whom i will curse." All we need to access His blessings is to believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
What is that big thing that all protocols must be observed for it to be a reality, hear me out; there is a God that do not observe protocols and He makes impossibility possible, that God is the God of this platform and my God, believe in Him and you will testify.

Till I come your way again, remain blessed.
